Everyday Is Like Summer

Everyday is like summer

Sippin on some rose wine

You are so fine

My lover

Water dripping down my thighs

Wearing the coldest ice

It Feels like Forever

Everday is like summer

Back when I

Was a young girl I

Used to bathe in beaches and dream

Wanted to walk all high and lean.

Back when I

Was a young girl I

Used to play the tunes so I could sing

I was my own favourite being

I was the light

Waiting to shine so bright

But the waiting was all that was

That light needed a cause

Everyday is like summer

Sippin on some rose wine

Driving down the coastal line

You are so divine

My lover

Water dripping down my thighs

Wearing his hand in mine

Holding on to my love

Feels like Forever

Everday is like summer

Back when I

Was a young girl I

Imagined a life with no chains

Pushing through all the pain

Back when I

Was a young girl I

dreamed of when I would meet him

It was a role of he who

He couldn’t be

Yet there was more

I see

All the movies lied to me

Everyday is like summer

Living life is for the grind

Focused on the borderline

Who am I?

My lover?

Water dripping down my eyes

Wearing nothing but blackness and lies

Holding on for my dear life

Feels like Forever

Everday is like summer

As spring grows

The bud starts to bloom

The rose becomes a flower

A flower to the moon

A love grew through thorns And the petals

Illuminate with a scent that is so regal

The summer explored

As life became more meaningful

The rain washed through

Nourished the young as it grew

The rose bloomed.

Here I am

Renewed.

Now that I

Am not a girl I

Everyday is like summer

Living through the storms

Who am I?

My lover.

Water dripping down light

Wearing my trident I

Nourishing the day and night

My power.

I know it’s forever.

Everyday is like summer.
