Revolver Picture Company and Random Bench have teamed up to produce the next feature from TOAD ROAD and FELT filmmaker Jason Banker.
Known for mashing genres of film to create new and powerful viewing experiences, Banker has emerged from a ‘filmmaker to watch’ to one building enviable relationships in the independent film world. TOAD ROAD, which won a number of festival awards during it’s film festival season, also caught the eye of Elijah Wood and his horror-film company SpectreVision, which came on to executive produce the film due to Banker’s singular vision. Banker has since debuted films at a number of prestige film festivals including Fantasia International Film Festival (TOAD ROAD), Slamdance Film Festival (MY NAME IS FAITH), and AFI, Fantastic Fest (FELT).
We are very excited to continue our cinematic journey with Jason,” said Adrian Salpeter ” And to join forces with Revolver to bring this extraordinary new vision to audiences” added Liz Levine of Random Bench. The titillating plot line for the untitled project is being kept under wraps, but it’s said to be set in the jungles of South America. Revolver will fully finance the project, and the label’s Nick Phillips and Kelly Wagner will produce alongside Random Bench’s Adrian Salpeter and Liz Levine.“We’ve watched Jason Banker’s powerful visions captivate audiences since TOAD ROAD, and can’t wait for this worthy successor to his last films to premiere before audiences globally”. said Nick Phillips of Revolver.
